Help needed in the Learning Commons

Hi wonderful parents! The Learning Commons will be doing inventory for the end of the year. This means all books will be organized and scanned into the computer to check for missing books, so the librarians know what to replace next year. An orientation session will be held on Monday, June 11th at 9am, to go over and show the steps below. Car Free Morning – Friday, June 1

This is a kind reminder that tomorrow is Car Free Day, and the Walk n’ Roll group will leave earlier in the morning. Car Free Morning: On June 1 (tomorrow), between 8:00 and 10:00 AM, Ortona Road will be closed for vehicular access. The Walking School Bus will leave early (please refer to the schedule below) for kids to participate fun activities and games, check out the fire truck and meet a RCMP officer. Call for Adjudicators for NRP Gr. 5 Heritage Fair – Friday June. 8

Thanks for those who volunteered at the Grade 4 Heritage Fair in May. Now we are calling for adjudicators for the Grade 5 Heritage Fair, which will take place Friday June 8, from 9:00 AM – 3:00 PM.  The program relies on volunteer adjudicators (judges) to evaluate the student projects. What’s involved?  The time commitment can be the entire day (9 AM – 3 PM) or half a day (morning or afternoon).  The coordinator, Janet Morley, will provide more instructions the day of the event. Walk n’ Roll Week/Car Free Day Road Closure

The Walk ‘n Roll to School Celebration Week is coming back from May 28 to June 1. It is a joint initiative taken by UBC Campus and Community Planning, UNA and the school.
