2018 Fall After-school Programs
Young Stars Basketball Club (YSBC) continues with basketball program in Norma Rose Point School from September 10, 2018 until June 14, 2019. In the past 4 years almost 600 kids went through our program and learned important values of sport, sportsmanship, teamwork, and friendship. They are now receiving registrations from 9-14 years old girls and boys! Practices will be every day, 6-8 pm. No practice on weekends. Please visit http://ysbc.club website for more information. Good news for those who are looking for before/after school care
Before and After School Care Program Will Be Coming to UBC Community The YMCA of Greater Vancouver, in collaboration with UBC and the UNA, is thrilled to announce the extension of its Kids Clubs. The Y’s licensed before and after school care program will be coming to the UBC community at both Wesbrook Community Centre and the Old Barn. The target opening date is the first day of school in September, however this will depend on the licensing process being completed. Point Grey Fiesta- Trimble Park
Point Grey Fiesta Saturday June 23, 2018 The Point Grey Fiesta is the community’s annual start-of-summer event for families and friends. Starting with a Saturday parade on West 10th avenue, the Saturday celebration continues in Trimble Park with stage performances, activities and exhibitors. Carnival rides in Trimble Park operate from Friday to Sunday. With the exception of the carnival rides and midway games, Fiesta entertainment and children’s activities are free of charge. Help needed
K-5 Sports Day On Friday June 22nd it is the K-5 Sports Day. For the afternoon from 1-2pm there will be a bike/scooter decorating and parade planned for the K-2 students. We are looking for 10-12 parent volunteers to come at 12:30pm to set out materials on tables in the multi-purpose room and in the outside area by the sun dial and also stay to help with decorating.
