Help needed for Book Fair

NRP Learning Commons is hosting another Scholastic Book Fair on March 7th 2-5:30pm & March 8th 8-9am & 2-5:30pm (to coincide with the parent conferences). Duties will include cashier (2-3 per shift), patroller (1-2 per shift), and traffic control (1 per shift). Scholastic is a great fund raiser adding more books to the Learning Commons. Call for library volunteers

NRP Librarians are looking for parent volunteers to help organizing books in the library (Learning Commons). They are happy to have parents come independently at times that work for them (in the morning around drop off, pick up, before hot lunch volunteers, etc). They can meet during a lunch or a Wed. morning to give the parents a training session. Multicultural Day – Thank you!

Thank you to the amazing parents/teachers, along with our great PAC Social Event Committee put on a spectacular Multicultural Day. All of the K-5 communities had an opportunity to explore amazing art projects and learn incredible facts about the countries/culture. Not only do we appreciate ALL the parents who spent weeks preparing and the entire day today sharing their culture, we are so glad to see their kids helping out the booths, showing their peers. Vancouver Sun Run – NRP Team

The Vancouver Sun Run has been Canada’s largest 10K road race since its inception in 1985. This year, the event takes place on April 22, one of the NRP parents managed to register a Norma Rose Point School team for the youth team challenge.  For those who are interested in participating the 10K run, here is a letter from the Team Captain. Multicultural Day – Feb. 5

The NRP 3rd Annual Multicultural Day is coming up on Monday Feb. 5. This event is organized by PAC and the amazing school parent community and organized for the K-5 students but we rely heavily on volunteer students from the Middle School. This year we have parents hosting tables representing: India, China, South Korea, , Bulgaria, Japan, Iran, Ukraine, India, Israel, Turkey and First Nation. Each student will be receiving a “Passport” which they will bring with them to the gym. At each station they ‘travel’ to they will receive a stamp on their “Visa” page. Need help after Gr. 1- 4 Family Concert

All Gr. 1-4 families are invited to an evening of music to celebrate our school’s Circle of Courage on Thursday @ 6:30pm. Students are asked to go to their own communities at 6:15pm and due to fire regulations, we can only have two people per family in the audience. We will need many help to move the instruments and chairs back to where they belong to.
