Walking School Bus Presented by UNA

Hello parents/guardians of NRP,

I am the Safe & Connected Community Coordinator at the University Neighbourhoods Association. I am working to get walking school buses running in our neighbourhoods, which can help reduce traffic and greenhouse gas emissions, while providing social opportunities and physical activity for kids and adults alike.

We will be having an info session 10AM on Wednesday, Oct 26 at the Old Barn Community Centre, Meeting Room 1 to get to know each other, learn tips for safely operating a walking school bus, and start planning within our neighborhood groups. If you cannot make this meeting, I am happy to meet with you some other time. I typically work at the Old Barn Community Centre from Monday to Friday.

To help us prepare for the meeting, please RSVP via email at Elias.Rieger@myuna.ca. Let me know if you have any dietary restrictions, as light refreshments will be provided.

Please note – in order to join this info session, you must be a parent or guardian of a child attending either University Hill Elementary or Norma Rose Point Elementary.

See you then!

Elias Rieger (he/him)
