Christmas Book Drive with The Reading Bear Society starts from Monday

Dear Parents and Guardians,

In this unprecedented year Christmas, we want to launch a Book Drive pairing with Reading Bear Society. The Reading Bear Society (RBS) is a not-for-profit initiative started by UBC faculties that promotes early literacy and healthy living in any children across B.C., even those who are in shelters or who do not have easy access to books by several reasons. The needs definitely had been rising in this tough situation. Besides their main activity, Preschool and Kindergarten Classroom Visits with book reading, they also provide books to children in shelters or who do not have easy access to books.

We are asking NRP parents to donate new or gently used copies of your favourite childhood books (especially for age 2-10). These books will directly go into the hands of children in need across Vancouver. Chinese and other foreign language books are also welcome.

Donation can be dropped off in the Christmas decorated box in front of the school door outside the office from Monday, 7th until 15th December.

Please DO NOT access or call office when you drop off the books, just leave in the box with the Reading Bear sign.

We appreciate your everyday support.
