Multicultural Day – Thank you!

Thank you to the amazing parents/teachers, along with our great PAC Social Event Committee put on a spectacular Multicultural Day. All of the K-5 communities had an opportunity to explore amazing art projects and learn incredible facts about the countries/culture. Not only do we appreciate ALL the parents who spent weeks preparing and the entire day today sharing their culture, we are so glad to see their kids helping out the booths, showing their peers. Multicultural Day – Feb. 5

The NRP 3rd Annual Multicultural Day is coming up on Monday Feb. 5. This event is organized by PAC and the amazing school parent community and organized for the K-5 students but we rely heavily on volunteer students from the Middle School. This year we have parents hosting tables representing: India, China, South Korea, , Bulgaria, Japan, Iran, Ukraine, India, Israel, Turkey and First Nation. Each student will be receiving a “Passport” which they will bring with them to the gym. At each station they ‘travel’ to they will receive a stamp on their “Visa” page. Food Bank and volunteer call for Lost & Found clean up

Food Bank Drive Please note, Food Bank Donation boxes will be picked up on Tuesday Dec. 19, all donations must be in their original box/package as we can not donate any loose items. Thank you for your donation! Call for volunteer – Lost & Found final clean up We are looking for 1-2 parent volunteers to help with Lost & Found final clean up. We will wash/dry all the clothes, clean all the containers/water bottles, and have them packed in boxes/bags. All items will be donated to a local YMCA day care, who only deals with at risk families. Multicultural Day – Initial Call

On February 5th, 2018, we are asking parents to participate in a interactive fair day at the school! We have such a diverse school and as we’re constant learners and explorers we love giving the opportunity to our children to both share their culture with friends AND learn about the cultures of other students. A Couple of reminders…

1, Scholastic Book Fair is happening on both Wednesday Oct. 25 (2-5pm) and Thursday Oct. 26 (8-9am & 2-5pm). The school librarian is still looking for one parent volunteer to cover the shifts on Wednesday at 2pm and Thursday at 2pm for an hour to 90 minutes to help with the book sales.
