PAC Hot Lunch volunteers needed to run program next year

The PAC is working on getting the Hot Lunch Program ready for next year. 

We need a Hot Lunch Coordinator and Hot Lunch Volunteer Coordinator to run the program for the 2026-2027 school year. We will need to pause the program without volunteers committed to these two positions.

Like all the previous years, the PAC runs the lunch program as a fundraiser. While maintaining food costs as low as we can, we make about 10% on each food item. All that money goes back to support children’s needs at the school! Funds contribute towards teachers’ classroom funds (currently $200 per division), help support specialist programs like library, music and foods, provide a teacher/school admin appreciation luncheon and much more!

Hot Lunch Program Coordinator, responsibilities include:

– Communicating and coordinating with vendors (menu planning, delivery logistics, resolving issues)
– Managing and maintaining the online ordering system
– Creating and updating weekly menus, including pricing
– Monitoring orders and ensuring accuracy before submission to vendors
– Responding to parent inquiries, feedback, and providing support when needed
– Handling adjustments such as cancellations, refunds, or special requests
– Supporting payment tracking and working with the PAC treasurer if needed

Hot Lunch Volunteer Coordinator, responsibilities include: 

– Organizing and communicating with the volunteer team
– Collecting volunteers’ contact information and availability
– Planning and scheduling shifts
– Making adjustments when someone is unable to attend a shift
– Training new volunteers to be clear on role and process

No experience necessary. We will provide training!
