Dear NRP families,

Did you know NRP is the only elementary school in BC with the dedicated cooking class? Our blessed kids cook delicious foods with Chef Karen Smith at school.

Here is a good opportunity for kids to show off their cooking skills in the summer. It is a cooking contest that students Grade 4-7 can apply for during the summer months.

BC Agriculture in the Classroom Foundation invites kids to submit BC grown recipes and cooking videos for a chance to win cash prizes totalling $6,400! Winners will be selected based on recipe choices, use of BC ingredients, evidence of thorough study, food and kitchen safety, and presentation.

Cash prize
1st Place: $400
2nd Place: $300
3rd Place: $200
4th to 10th Place: $100 each
