Spring Fair is this FRIDAY!

The 2025 Spring Fair  is on Friday, May 9 from 3-7pm! Thank you to all that have already signed up to make this a fun event for the community. This event is entirely volunteer run and we need all the help we can get. There are still volunteer spots left — sign up! 

🙌 Sign-up for opportunities such as setup, ticketing, food stands, and more. They are short shifts to give you ample time to hang out with your family. Each volunteer will receive 3 free tickets and refreshments. Grab a friend and sign-up TODAY

🎟️ Ticket sales on May 9 will be cash only. Only food trucks will be accepting credit cards. Also, bring cash to support our Kids Market Vendors! Pre-sale tickets are now closed. 

⭐ Each student will receive 3 free tickets to get things started this Friday right at 3:00 PM. All tickets, along with pre-sale tickets, will be distributed to teachers on Friday.

We’re excited to let you know that yearbook sales are available NOW on SchoolCash Online

🛑 ATTENTION: Sign and return the Yearbook Consent Form to your child’s teacher – if you have not already, please notify your child’s teacher as soon as possible.

Here are the details:

🕕 Regular Pricing (Extended to Friday, May 9):

  • Softcover Yearbook: $30
  • Hardcover Yearbook: $40

Please note that only the number of yearbooks purchased will be ordered, so if you’re interested in getting a copy, make sure to place your order before the deadline. No additional yearbooks will be available for purchase after May 9.

We’re working hard to finalize the design and ensure everything is ready on time—we can’t wait to share this special keepsake with you and your children!

Looking for a fun and educational way to keep your child engaged this summer? Daedalos Academy’s LEGO® Robotics camps offer hands-on STEM learning through building, coding, and teamwork—all in a supportive, creative environment. See details below:

Last Chance for Early Bird Savings – Summer Programs at the Chan Centre

The Chan Centre for the Performing Arts at UBC is offering two exciting summer camps in July, where children (ages 6–12) can explore music through digital media in a fun and creative environment. 

Note to parents/guardians: No prior experience in music, Garageband, or animation required.


Cue the Music: Film Music & Stop-Motion Animation – Ages 6-9 (only 1 spot left!)
July 14-18 (9am-4pm) 
July 27-August 1 (9am-4pm)

Lights, camera, action! Have you ever wanted to create and score your own stop-motion movies in the style of The Nightmare Before Christmas, Wallace & Gromit, and Flushed Away? In this camp, campers will learn the fundamentals of music, craft DIY musical instruments, and work in teams to explore digital music composition for film and TV using Garageband. In the afternoon, campers will learn how to produce, film, and edit their own stop-motion animations using Stop Motion Studio. On the final day, campers can invite their friends and family to a film screening of their animations, complete with their very own music! Are you ready to take a seat in the director’s chair?

Note to parents/guardians: No prior experience in music, Garageband, or animation required.


Press Start: Video Game Music & Game Development – Ages 8-12

Initializing… Loading… Ready player one! Dive into the wonderful world of video games with Press Start: Video Game Music & Game Development! In this camp, campers will learn the fundamentals of music, craft their own musical instruments, and work in teams to explore digital video game music composition using Garageband. In the afternoon, our music studio will become a game studio as campers explore the ins and outs of video game design, learn coding, and create awesome programs using Scratch. At the end of the week, campers will showcase a playable video game featuring their own music to their friends and family! Are you ready to press start?
