This Wednesday! Terry Fox Run

Hello NRP Families,

NRP’s Terry Fox Run is happening this WEDNESDAY morning! Come out and support by signing up to setup, cheer, take down, or all three! Click here to volunteer: https://signup.com/go/SHACOez

Our live donation page is NRP Terry Fox Walk/Run Donation Page.  We’re only at $1,780 and our goal is $10,000. Help us reach our goal!

Terry Fox is a Canadian Icon who at 21 years of age set a goal to run across Canada to raise money for cancer research. He had lost a leg to cancer earlier in life and completed over 5000 km in his Marathon of Hope on one leg! Unfortunately, Terry’s cancer returned and he could not complete his goal.

Each year, thousands of students across Canada complete the Terry Fox Run in his honour to continue raising funds for important cancer research.

Norma Rose Point has set an enthusiastic goal of raising $10,000 to support cancer research here in Canada. We need your help to boost this fundraising effort so let’s show how incredible and generous the NRP community is and work to reach this goal!

Talk to your students about a goal for the run on Wednesday and what kind of donation would work for your family! There are some ideas on the attached flyer.

Did you Know? Families are invited to run with their students this year! Don’t feel like running? Sign up using the link below to cheer on all NRP students!

Other Ways to be Involved: In addition, we are recruiting volunteers for several events in October including the Terry Fox Run, Homecoming Week and the Halloween Costume Drive and Swap. There are various roles and times. Help as much or as little as you can!
