The UNA reached out to the NRP PAC to share an unfortunate incident that occurred near the Tapestry retirement residence at Wesbrook Village this month. Please see their message below:

The UNA would like to inform community members that an unfortunate accident took place near Tapestry retirement residence in Wesbrook Village this month. A youth travelling on a non-motorized scooter on the sidewalk collided with a senior that was stepping out of the main entrance of the residence, causing serious injury to the senior that was involved.

On a crowded sidewalk, in close proximity to bus stops and vulnerable persons, serious consequences can occur in the event of a collision. As a result, we remind all residents and parents/guardians to Walk your Wheels (bikes, scooters, skateboards) on sidewalks.
