Dear Parents. Please read the below which was sent to us from the UEL Area D Neighbourhood Plan Team:
As you may know, the University Endowment Lands is developing a Neighbourhood Plan for Area D, often referred to as the Village. This important plan will guide Area D’s development over the long-term and inform key decisions about land use, infrastructure investment, and community priorities.
In Phase 2A, we asked the community about what you like and what could be improved about the neighbourhood, what your priorities are for the future and big ideas for topics like housing, transportation, parks and green space, heritage, the local economy, infrastructure, and sustainability.
Now in Phase 2B, we are asking residents, business owners, community groups and key external agencies to further explore policy and design options for the neighbourhood.
We’re hosting a Public Ideas Jam and Stakeholder Design Charrette, where you can shape design options for the neighbourhood, and four Public Design Review events, where you can provide feedback on the policy and design options you helped create for the Plan, covering a variety of topics including land use, housing, neighbourhood design, parks and green space, transportation, and sustainability.
As a key stakeholder we need your input!
