Happy Lunar New Year! 

Many of our students and families will be celebrating Lunar New Year today.This celebration is shared by a number of different countries including (but not limited to) China, Korea, Vietnam, Cambodia, Mongolia, Tibet, Singapore and Taiwan.  To all who celebrate, Happy Lunar New Year!

3 Year VSB Proposed School Calendar for 2019-20 to 2021-22

The updated proposed school calendar for the next 3 school years has now been posted on the VSB website:  https://www.vsb.bc.ca/Calendars/Pages/School-Year-Calendar.aspx

The VSB work closely with neighbouring districts to ensure alignment of dates as much as possible. This calendar includes proposed dates for Winter Break and Spring Break for 2019-20, 2020-21, 2021-22, as well as proposed dates for Non-Instructional/Professional Days for the 2019-20 school year.

Should parents wish to provide any feedback, they are welcome to do so by emailing calendar@vsb.bc.ca. Feedback will be received until February 15th and will be taken into consideration when the calendar is finalized. We anticipate that the final school calendar will be approved by the Board and published by early March.

The 2019 Norma Rose Point School Yearbook is consisted with students/staff portraits, community candids, sports, clubs, and major school events, etc. All pictures will carefully be selected by the Yearbook Committee staff and the teachers. We will make every effort to make sure that every kid will appear on the yearbook at least twice. If you have any pictures of field trips, sports team, school club, please email them to rosepointyearbook@gmail.com before April 10, 2019.

Yearbooks will be distributed the last week of this school year.

Feb 11:  Multicultural Day – Organized by our parent community, stations are set up all day long in the Middle School Gym for K – 5 students to appreciate and learn from the diverse cultures that exist at NRP
