Parent Reading Workshops

From ONE to ONE: In November we’ll be hosting two virtual Parent Reading Workshops for the parents/caregivers in your community.  Here are the details: Session #1       Session #2       Both sessions are the same. The workshops run for approximately 60 minutes with time for questions after.   Our Parent Reading Workshops are interactive and facilitated by ONE TO ONE educators. They’re designed to give parents and caregivers the opportunity to learn positive strategies to help them support their children when reading at home. Participating families will receive a digital resource package. Lights at Lee Square Design Competition

Show us how you unite community!  Create a design inspired by the small acts of kindness you participate in, to bring together your communities. Winners will receive up to a $300 cash prize, depending on the entry tier, and their work will be projected onto Lee Square plaza (outside of the UBC Bookstore).  The competition is open to UBC students, staff, faculty, alumni, and UNA youth and children. There are four entry categories, with one winner chosen from each, including: Children, Youth, UBC students, and Animators.  Start designing!
